George T. Snyder

George earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Virginia in 1985. He attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he was a member of the 1987-1988 Appellate Court Competition Board. George joined the Firm as a summer law clerk and became an associate upon graduation from Law School in 1988.

Since joining the Firm, George's concentration has been in the area of bankruptcy/insolvency law. He has experience in representing both debtors and creditors in bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy workout matters. He also has represented various clients in general corporate matters. He has been a frequent panelist on bankruptcy related matters for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and at the Annual Bankruptcy Symposium in Pittsburgh. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute.

During the Summer months, George spends his free time with his family in Chautauqua, New York, where he serves as a member of the Chautauqua Institution Board of Trustees. George is currently serving on the Board's Executive Committee and as Chair of its Asset Policy Committee. Locally, George is an officer of the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association and a Board member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association.
